Are you a 100% Disabled Veteran?

If you are a veteran who receives 100% disability compensation due to a service connected disability or have a determination of individual unemployability from the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs, you are entitled to an exemption from taxation of the total appraised value of your residence homestead. Surviving spouses of veterans who qualified for this exemption or who would have qualified for this exemption if it was in effect at the time of the veteran’s death are also eligible with certain restrictions. Also included are the surviving spouse of a U.S. armed services member killed in action or an eligible surviving spouse of a first responder killed in the line of duty.
