Pool Rules
- General Pool Rules
- Southside Residents and their guests only
- All residents and guests must check in and enter through the front entrance
- No running
- No hanging on basketball rim
- Diving only in specified areas
- Stay off the blue tile “walls” in the pool
- No glass anywhere in the facility
- No rough or aggressive play
- Parents are responsible for supervising their children. A lifeguard’s purpose is to supplement the supervision of a guardian.
- Large, multi-person inflatables are not permitted, as they obstruct the vision of lifeguards and cause a safety hazard. The manager on duty has final say on whether or not an inflatable is allowed.
- No hanging, sitting, or standing on any lane lines
- Foul language or gestures are not permitted
- The pool and pool area are only to be used during specified hours. Use outside these hours is prohibited and is considered trespassing.
- The manager on duty reserves the right to refuse or revoke entrance to any resident or guest for, in the manager’s judgement, being in violation of any rule(s) or for being a threat to the safety of others or themselves.
- Disrespect towards any staff member is not tolerated
- Any aquatics staff may enforce a rule that is not listed for the purpose of safety
- Children that are not potty-trained must wear a swim diaper.
- Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a guardian.
- No smoking or vaping of any type is permitted in the facility.
- No underwater breath holding games
- Lap swimmers and swim lessons have priority in the swim lane
- Deep end
- No goggles or floaties allowed on the slide or diving board
- No backflips or gainers allowed
- All users must jump straight off the diving board while facing forward
- Only one bounce allowed on the diving board
- All users must go feet first on their back or in a sitting position down the slide
- One person on the diving board/slide and ladder at a time
- Children must be able to swim to the side of the pool unassisted to use the slide/diving board
- Wading in the deep end is not permitted when the slide/diving board are in use
